At yesterday's meeting we decided to look into alternate cleaning methods. Ron has been tasked with obtaining a quote for cleaning the washrooms and splitting this cost with AssentWorks, as this has clearly been the one task that nobody wants to do.
One proposal that we are now looking at again is volunteer-based cleaning. It's not a lot, but it's what has to be done. This is an outline of what periodically needs to be done in the space - please add your name to the list of what you can do, and this will become the cleaning strikeforce. This strikeforce should be large so that we don't just have a few people doing all the work - add your name and the more people we get, the less you'll have to do something... sounds good? ^_^ Once this preliminary data is gathered, then we will go about figuring out duties and how to track them. To start things off, I volunteer myself for every task on here (save washrooms)! I have also been tasked with finding us a vacuum. Does anybody know where I can buy a good vacuum (read: not crap, something that can handle our space)? I will be checking Kijiji/online before looking for something new. A quick list, feel free to add to: Monthly: - Couches vacuumed Bi-weekly: - Washrooms and sinks cleaned - will be covered by professional cleaning service. - Vacuum/sweep all floors Weekly: - Garbages emptied and replaced - Towels replaced with clean ones in the washroom (we will be needing someone to wash them too!) - General dusting to cut down on the amount of dust in the space (Swiffer) Always: - Any trash you see should go in the garbage. Clean up after yourself! - Washing of dishes - Throwing out old food (use your best judgement) Thank you, everyone. Don't forget that we all share this space, and we should all have a hand in maintaining it! :) ~Justin _______________________________________________ SkullSpace Discuss Mailing List Help: http://www.skullspace.ca/wiki/index.php/Mailing_List#Discuss Archive: https://groups.google.com/group/skullspace-discuss-archive/
