I think due to liability issues, and the potential for immediate lockout, we need at least find out how much it would cost to get all necessary permits, etc.
As for the extension cords which are being used right now: is it using extension cords that's an issue, or that they're on the floor? It wouldn't be hard to lift them off the ground and run them along the walls (on hooks or something).
