Just to clarify,
There is no option for us to do the work and have someone else sign
off on it. That is 100% illegal and we cannot support, condone or consider
that as a viable option. We need to hire a contractor with a commercial
contractor license with the city and have all work performed by an
electrician under permit from the city.
Trust me, I know we can do the work to code and not have any problems with
that but the rules are there and we cannot ignore them because we find it
not to our liking.
I am working on a quote but it tough when we don't know where the owner /
landlord stand on the matter of the lease and what changes they want made.
