It is effectively - as I understand it - the situation we're in. The
alternative to "waiving" the current lease is a useless legal battle
where we end up - at best - with winning and having to leave in 6 months
regardless.

Wouldn't it be a lot less costly for Assent Works and 125 Adelaide to just give us the 6 months notice under the current terms as the means to be rid of us instead of locking us out prematurely and getting sued by us?

I think most would find that to be the real best case if no new deal is struct.

We could win damanges relfecting the harm done + punative damanges if they violate the current contract by giving us anything less than 6 months notice. A large fraction of those cival rewards will need to be promised to a lawyer but there could be something nice left over for us.

Assent Works and 125 Adelaide absolutely must honour the current terms if we choose to stick with them.
