If anybody is interested in being the "Acting Event Coordinator" for the
next 4 weeks, let me know. We don't strictly *need* to fill this
position, since we're having an interim election, but if anybody wants
to take up the reigns and try out this director thing for a few weeks,
the board has the authority to appoint somebody for now. We don't have a
specific rule, so I'll say this: the board has to unanimously accept the
individual's appointment.

I'd like to publically endorse and encourage Mak to accept the additional interim board seat. (and the board in turn to offer it to him).

By offering to head two critical task forces "The New Members Strike Force" and "The Moving Strike Force" he has taken on fairly significant duties now that the board could deem to be his board-level duties. (Let A Webber be our event calendar guru as a non-board member in the meantime).

All this would pile on to him at this point would be board meeting attendance and a vote on board matters.

While I'm at it, I'd like to heap praise on Mak (to underscore why the board needs hime) for his participation in yesterday's meeting -- the board came to yesterday's meeting pretty much only recommending one position (~3 months + ~$1400 transfer payment) -- Mak helped draw out support from the member for the most important nuget of Justin's position, that we leave more swiftly.
