This weekend has been a resounding success for SkullSpace, I believe. We got the word out and evangelized the hell out of us :)
Over the weekend we pushed hard on Ben's μJoypad NES controller -- it was a big hit! People were very interested in the items that Molly brought and the rest of the electronics projects that were on display. We pushed Ben's event tomorrow evening at 7PM (making a extremely small NES controller) pretty hard and we're expecting people from Comic-Con to show up. I encourage all members who are awesome to show up tomorrow night to make a good impression. We also pushed that our hangout nights are Fridays and we have meetings on Tuesdays. Hopefully we can make a good impression in the upcoming meetings and hangout nights for these potential members. Jeffery John (a stage name!) from CityTV's breakfast TV also dropped by to say that he wanted to have SkullSpace on their program -- profile us and showcase the upcoming hackathon in 2 weeks. Ron/Alex/Mak, I gave his card to Jay. The poster-thing (can't think of the word) that we had draped looked awesome! I brought it back tonight and put it in the classroom. Maybe we can set it up for Ben's thing tomorrow? The brochures were a great success as well -- we initially printed off 100 copies and got another 200 made on Saturday. I think we have about 50 left! Special thanks to Ben, Courtney, Kenny, Molly, Jay, Nathan, Ethan, Ron, and whoever else I'm missing that pitched in and helped! This success couldn't have happened without you guys! -Mark
