"Floor tax" - I asked them about this and they said they don't collect
anything for it. It's nothing we're expected to pay.
"Business tax" - related to whatever taxes may be levied on us when we
file our income tax (this isn't changing with going to a new space).
Not collected by the landlord.

Business tax generally refers to the City Of Winnipeg's business tax, which is based on floor area. Non-profits are exempt from it.

Feds/Province are in the business of corporate income tax, personal income tax, sale taxes, and excise taxes, none of which are formally called "the business tax".

The City of Winnipeg also has property taxes levied direct on landowners (not on tennants the way the business tax is). Some landlords have leases that pass on a share of this -- which is sort-of derrived from the floor area -- so we'd want be sure the "floor tax" isn't refering to that either.
