I'd be interested in hearing about this!

Even though we just moved in, I think we should start looking at

Pick a date soon -- I've got something interesting to schedule with
someone else for this kind of event, if you folks are interested.

I helped out a relative-in-law of mine who works at St. B hospital
research with some research data analysis -- I ended up doing a 11 hour
hacking session writing up the analysis program in python with him at
the old space one night a bunch of weeks back. Did some computation
integration and some good examples of keeping code abstract and generic
for re-use.

He can give an interesting, quick presentation on the computerized blood
oxygen saturation devices he was hooking up to people, (with live demo
of this medical gear), what they were studying, and what we doing
computationally. Apparently his supervisor received some recognition
in-part for this work and made some slides we can steal.

I used revision control with frequent commits during my 11 hour hacking
spree helping this guy out (spreadsheet wasn't considered a good
option), so I'll also make a graph for lines of code vs time as a point
of interest (anatomy of a hacking spree). May also show how the code was
able to evolve sanely as he upped the demands for what he needed from
it.

I should post the code on github...

We'd try to keep the whole thing under 20 minutes.
