So six days ago the Enlightened controlled all of downtown and there were no Resistance controlled areas in the city. Over the last week the Resistance has captured a number of key portals and now control a vast area south of downtown[1]. The Enlightened haven't been very active this last week, but they still control the downtown core, which is worth the most MUs because of the relative population density. Even if all the Enlightened don't bother defending downtown, it will take a considerable amount of resources to destroy all their resonators and rebuild and link our own, and I doubt they will just let us take it. I have a feeling things are going to get very interesting once we start pushing into downtown.
