Good afternoon SkullSpace! D'Arcy has explained the situation better than I can here: http://geekswithblogs.net/dlussier/archive/2013/03/27/152538.aspx
Winnipeg Code Camp is a free one day developer conference held annually at Red River College. Since our inception, SkullSpace has had a very strong presence at code camp. Many of our members spoke on topics ranging from nmap scripts, security best practices, to embedded development with launchpads. During the 2011 code camp, we unveiled our secret challenge[1]. During the 2012 code camp, we blanketed the conference with much needed and appreciated SkullSpace Wifi (thank you Colin!). This year, unless more speakers step up, the conference will be cancelled. I don't like seeing conferences cancelled. Especially conferences that have been very good to us in the past. We have a great pool of talented people with a lot to talk about. Some of you even go to conferences around the world to talk (Everybody congratulate Alex for being invited to speak at Sharkfest!). Many of you are great speakers but have yet to present outside of SkullSpace's walls. Code Camp is the perfect opportunity to get your feet wet, it's - to quote D'Arcy - "an opportunity for those who *haven’t* spoken before or who have done limited speaking to get presentation experience" Take advantage of this opportunity by applying here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/wpgcodecamp2013 Sessions from last year's code camp may be found here: http://www.winnipegcodecamp.com/sessions - Jay Smith / @Sporked [1] http://skullspace.net/secret.php _______________________________________________ SkullSpace Discuss Mailing List Help: http://www.skullspace.ca/wiki/index.php/Mailing_List#Discuss Archive: https://groups.google.com/group/skullspace-discuss-archive/
