AFAIK the cleaners don't do the kitchen, except mop the floors. In fact, I emailed Ian with the suggestion that the cleaners come twice a month and only clean the bathrooms and tile floor, with the assumption that this would be the same cost as coming once a month and cleaning the entire space. With carpet, we have cut down on our "dust bunnies" and it's easier to trap dirt and vacuum it up. I don't mind vacuuming every once in a while, as it is needed. The bathrooms seem to get dirty fast, and I think it's more of a priority area than the rest of the space.
Besides, the dishes should be our own responsibility!
