At AW we got a kinda-new DVR (Samsung DVR-1650DC) that I reset to defaults, set a basic password, then didn't touch for a month as I did other work... now I cannot login to it. Quick Google searching didn't find a good reset procedure, and there were some complaints that Samsung wants it sent to the factory for a reset.
If someone has experience taking off flash chips (I've never done it for the new tiny chips) and extracting/resetting passwords please let me know. Or possibly getting access to and searching through their embedded Linux to find where it's stored.
