Sorry Jay... using the for orange juice is fine: as you say, they're washable.
But paper towels or rags should be used for stuff that will stain, like coffee, blood, or grease. (To this day, I don't know why we should have grease spills at the space, but that's my best guess for the marks on some towels.)
