Most router that I've worked with have a recovery mode (basically a tftp server
or minimal web interface) that you can get at by holding down some combination
of buttons or running a cable from WAN to LAN1 when booting. Normally you can
rewrite the firmware from there.

I've been able to recover bricked Asus routers this way, but have no specific
experience with Linksys ones...

 Unbricking a Linksys router]

Hey guys,

Can anybody answer this question? Roger is a former provincial employee,
and we have a lot of friends in common, I'd love to help him out. I was
thinking of suggesting that he go down on a Thursday or something.

Thoughts?

Ron

Hi,

Do any of your members get into flashing bricked Linksys routers?

I fried a Linksys WRT300N when I tried to flash from DD-WRT to Tomato.
