Way back in the Skullspace 1.0 days I reduced the 4x1TB RAID10
configuration of SATA hard drives in the VM server down to 2x1TB RAID 1
to save power because I was getting weird random soft shutdowns when I
upgraded from Steph's motherboard to Kenny's. Things have been solid
ever since.
So, I there are 2x1TB drives in Skullspace's name ready to go. One is
trapped unplugged in the VM server, the other I brought home for safe
keeping and will bring back tomorrow.
Also, I recall that somebody took one of the small workstations with the
orange label once, plugged their own 500G drive into it, and abandoned
it on a table. I labeled this particular hard drive ("was abandoned in
workstation #4", put it in the black members cabinet, and returned the
workstation to the shelving unit and mentioned this on list at one point
thereafter
So, if it hasn't been claimed yet, feel free to put that 500G drive to
use as well.
