Naturally will be less by the time it gets through first month. And if and when the bear market returns in earnest, growth in difficulty / competition for blocks may slow as a result, but will be a lagging, especially with efficient ASICs like these still being profitable under such conditions.

If the plan is still to donate this to the the space, one hacker project would be to write code to dynamically hop between between bitcoin and other sha256 coins as profitability in each jumps around

I still say, if it's a freebie, lets freaking solo mine and have an amazing block party if we find a block and just sad faces and electricity bills if we don't.
