Outperforming buy and hold so far?
Easy to see how it could have been done in hindsight but hard to
actually pull off. Never know when you're going to call the top or miss
the train.
On average it is said that traders can't outperform financial markets,
so congrats if you have.
How did the recent moves from ~400 to ~800 back down to ~400 and back up
currently to 700s work out for you?
This isn't to say that anything other then outperforming buy and hold is
the way to go, everyone has to be careful with a high risk asset to keep
their exposure within a level they can live with. No shame in letting
your bitcoin go to take profit and not be the one holding the bag.
And folks who sell into the big upswings and buy again after drops are
helping tame the beast, so thanks if you're one of the many doing so.
The Skullspace Bitcoin endowment trust seeded by Ian ($50) got in around
$360 CAD/BTC on Nov 11. We're looking pretty good so far as we approach
our two week mark. To Ian and Stefan (fellow trustees), we're going to
continue to be holding spartans, right?
Accountability FIY:
The $50 Ian seed

0.139 BTC
5.0 GH/s BFL (Ian machine) mining profits from Nov 16 on:

0.0114 BTC
Both of the above addresses are from the Electrum seed that both Ian and
I have. If both Stefan and Ian are around Tuesday night we'll be moving
these to the redundant 2 of 3 scheme I demoed at BSides.
And there is 0.00429 on my mining pool account from the little USB
miners. Recently added two of the 4 Jeremy donated to my router at home.
Other two new ones will join the original Skullspace two on the VM
server soon.
In sum:
(0.139+0.0114+0.00429)*800
~= $123.75

Depositing crypto coins at btc-e is simple -- at every exchange it is,
thats whats nice about crypto coins.
For fiat, only reasonable way I know of to fund BTC-e in Winnipeg is
international wire transfer through your bank.
At least their bank is German, so that should turn less heads when you
ask your bank to wire funds vs the location of the BTC-e itself, which
is Bulgaria.

BTC-e recently added Payza as a withdrawl only method. (can't be used
for deposit). Payza was founded in Canada, is now a UK company, is
FINTRAC registered, still has an operations centre in Montreal and has
Canadian EFT strait to your bank account as a withdrawal method.
