The 14th of December is RuCTFE, the global version of the well-known RuCTF.

http://ructf.org/e/2013/

Instead of people solving challenges, this is an 'attack-defend' CTF. You're
put on a network with the other participants, and the goal is to attack and
compromise the servers of the other teams, while preventing your own team's
servers
from being hacked.

It starts at 10:00am UTC on Saturday (not this Saturday, next Saturday) and
runs for 9 hours. If I'm timezoning properly, that means it starts at 4am
Winnipeg time!

One other thing to note: It overlaps with Coderetreat, which means sharing the
'space with all the Coderetreat folks, at least near the end of the CTF.

Anybody interested in playing? I'm sure we'd get raked over the coals, but it's
a small time commitment, high-pressure, and could be lots of fun!
