The Pathfinder event says it's in the Lounge, and the other event seems like it's just a deadline, so I'd say you're good to go!
If somebody can give calendar admin access to Alex, that'd be great! Just go to the calendar, click 'Share', and type in his email address, and click read/write/admin or whatever.
