PocketPC interface is fanstastic and way better than
the couple of lines on the unit itself?

I can't speak for Telcanto. But I really like using the handheld skin: it's clean and easy to use even on those small devices. It's status page displays the currently played song together with album art etc. - much better than two lines of text. I even use it in my Opera's panel on the desktop. Give it a try - SlimServer is a free download.


BTW: if you want to get more out of the display's two lines, give my music info screensave a chance ;-).

No, you're right. The device only receives music
streams over the net and
sends signals from the IR remote back to the server.
But everything is
server-driven.

No idea, as I don't know Telcanto :-/. But usually
response times are very
quick. I often use the handheld skin with my pda's
web browser. And
selecting a song will play it immediately.
