Well, I finally took the leap and separated my networks. One wireless network just for my music, which consists of 2 SB and one Slimp3 and the server. When I separated the networks, I put my music on channel 1, and the rest on channel 7, my neighbor uses channel 11. Channel 1 seems to be the magic number with my microwave, maybe other channels would do better with other channels.

Since the change, I can use the microwave (knock wood) anytime and there is no music interruption, whereas when the music was on a different channel all I had to do was put the microwave on full power for 15-30 seconds and the music stopped, and about 1 minute or so on defrost would stop it (30 seconds on defrost was no problem).

I thought there was no hope for microwave inference, but now, well, it just works.

Now to see if I can use a 5.4 GHZ phone (not too many 900 MHz phones left anywhere).

Thought others might benefit from this,
