I don't know about others, but I'm perfectly willing to answer the
question. I didn't buy a Squeezebox because every time I've looked at
ordering one, the wireless units are listed as a 6-8 week wait. Not
once have I seen an "in stock" listing there. So, my options were to
pay more money and wait a couple of months (or possibly more. seeing
something listed as always a wait doesn't lead me to much confidence in
quoted delivery times), or walk around the corner to Fry's and get a
Roku M1000. I like SlimServer, and use it for Internet Radio, since I'm
a Live365 VIP subscriber, but when Roku gets support for my Live365
account happening, I'll be just fine with that. If I buy a second unit
(which is quite possible) it will quite probably be a Squeezebox, but
for the immediate satisfaction factor of getting my music served to the
stereo system in the living room, the SoundBridge won because it was in
stock.
