I've loaded v6.0a onto two Fedora 3 boxes this morning. I
wasn't able to look closely at my primary machine, but the one
I'm on at the moment provides the following info:

           - Apparently painless install (expected).
           - ~15m to scan 9K+ tracks
           - 51MB memory use (vs 69MB with 5.4)
           - Browsing, say, artists takes ~4s with an accompanying CPU
spike. However, I show 1000 items. Reducing it to, say, 100
           gives me almost instant return.

This is on a 2.4G, 512K Fedora box with all the music on an
        external USB drive.

At home, I too noticed that after installing the new server it
crashed after the rescan. Restarting it seemed to work fine,
but I haven't rescanned. Rescanning on this box hasn't crashed
        it.
