I reciently started seeing the same issue.  Squeezebox reboots randomly.  I've noticed while playing songs and while using internet radio.  I'm actually running 5.4 nightly (thanks for helping discover this btw..  I thought I was running 6)  I downgraded to the stable release, and it still occurs.

My slimserver is a dual proc g4.  I have a separate 802.11b wireless net for the squeezebox, 2 orinoco APs (ap500 and ap600).

I'm not using any encryption.

The squeezebox will reboot, show the squeezebox logo and precede through setup.
Then if i was listening to mp3s it usually goes back to the begining of the song it was just playing.   The squeezebox is running Player Firmware Version: 40.

Cheers,
p

I'm curious. by reboot, you mean it actually comes up with the squeezebox logo
and waits for input for setup, then connects to server? or do you mean that it
goes blank, then connecting to server? i'd consider the latter a dropped
connection as opposed to a reboot. I've never actually seen what I'd call a
reboot, unless I've triggered one, or I've been testing brand new firmware that
turned out to not be quite right.

I'm currently listening to live365, SBG firmware 40, SS 6.0a1 r2231. Its on a
wireless connection to a Dlink dlw900AP using 128-bit WEP. I do happen to have
4 neighbours with wi-fi according to my ibook's network sensing. my AP is set
to channel 11. i also have a WRT54G with the wifi-box firmware on channel 6.

my apologies if none of this is of any help. I just can't conceptualise the
problem as it is so far from my experiences.
