Some people will find that a reasonable solution, others will probably still
want to use shuffle play.  I don't think it's unreasonable to want this
feature *and* want to use shuffle play.

I often have playlists of 100+ tracks.  Perhaps I've grossly overlooked some
feature that automatically does what you suggest but I don't know of any way
to do this without manually stepping through and deleting each and every
track from the playlist.
