I just received a check for from Slim Devices for that

No, I don't think everyone should go out and buy
replacement supplies and send 'em the bills. But I do
think it was a very classy thing for them to do.

A colleague (the one who turned me onto Squeezebox) reported severe AM radio interference with the Squeezebox-provided power supply. At first he thought it was the fluorescent display, as the noise varied with display brightness, but I pointed out that the display draws a lot of power and changing the load on the power supply could indirectly affect the amount of interference it generates.

I haven't checked yet for AM interference from my own Squeezeboxes, but I assume it's pretty strong. I'll probably try adding some AC line filters before I replace the Squeezebox-supplied supplies, as I like their small form factor. (Maybe that's why they're so noisy -- no room for a good filter.)

Slimdevices really ought to find another supplier of power supplies after evaluating them for RFI.
