Hi Arthur,
The wireless squeezebox has an 802.11b interface.  Connecting it to an
802.11g WAP will not improve your speed at all.  In addition, the
performance of any G devices on your G network will be degraded (though not
all the way down to b speeds).  It has been explained that you cannot
upgrade the PCMCIA card inside because the bus it is on doesn't have enough
bandwidth to support G.  If you want G speeds then you'll need to buy a
wireless bridge and connect it to the rj45 jack on the back of your unit.
