The volume control is built into the SLIMP3's remote control device.
Base and treble don't need to be adjusted nearly as frequently as would balance in the scenario I described. Once they are set, via an equalizer, it's pretty much a moot point to tweak them from the remote control device. But it's not impossible to conceive that it might be nice to have.
These are B&O's BeoLab 6000s; self-amplifying silver columns of sound.
Having volume control, balance etc is fine with me. As long as I can either bypass it or it's restricted to the headphone jack.
Those are issues for a future piece of hardware, as well as the balancing suggestion. But whatever is put in to a new dingus, it should be accessible from the remote control device.
