Good point, Phillip--seems slim has incorporated an excellent dac into their new unit. One thing to be wary of, though: many mid-low end receivers will add A/D then D/A step in the signal path of their so-called "analog inputs". In those cases you'd be better off sticking with a digital connection, if possible.
