With MusicMagic, you should be able to get slimserver to recognise it even after teh server is running. However, it does take a little bit of work. Go into server settings->plugins and you will see MusicMagic checkbox is unchecked. Checking it and clicking change will tell teh server to attempt to try musicmagic again.
