Quoting JJ <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

slimserver. SqueezeNetwork is something that will allow you to run a
Squeezebox2 without a server of your own, since it will essentially
be a shared slimserver hosted by SlimDevices.

Is the API to the Squeezebox/2 well-documented? I'm just curious if anyone has ever tried creating a Squeezebox output plugin for, say, WinAMP. Or for that matter, if anyone has messed around with developing either a server or other playback software from scratch.

Methinks you don't understand what the Squeezebox does :)

Anyway, the API is documented, as are some nifty hardware connectors. There've been a few different software clients written, at least one guy was writing an alernate server. There's even a competing company making hardware clients.
