I'm not sure what wipe cache does any more. I may not have covered that case
properly (still scanning is an 'import' parameter) If you erase the
slimserversql.db file specifically, so you still see the same problems?
Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier - I have a paper to finish and my GF was hogging the squeezebox.
Erasing the .db did help, though. I'd always thought that's what wipe cache does, my bad.

Not at all, you're always very helpful. If you're really feeling guilty you can implement some kind of progress indicator :)
