Hi Bill

The geek-connector inside SB1 has an output (pin 11)
called 's/pdif enable indicator', that, according
to Sean, could be used to drive a relay which in
turn drives the amp. I haven't tried this myself.

But I have successfully used SB1s i2c bus to drive
a 8-bit input/output ic to control my amp.
