If I could mount a squeezebox in the wall in place of my thermostats, that would be totally awesome.
Any ideas? Am I trying to kill a fly with a sledgehammer?
No, but you're trying to drive a Torx-head screw with the claw on a hammer. Or shovel dirt with a screwdriver. Or pound nails with an iPod. You get the idea.
A Squeezebox is a device to play digital music over a network from a server. Period. If you want a networked thermostat, go buy a thermostat designed to be networked. They *do* exist.
Geez. No wonder the Slimserver software is so bloated and [EMAIL PROTECTED] unreliable... it's amazing the Slim Devices folks have managed to keep the Squeezebox hardware as simple as it is against this kind of creature feep.
