Only if you're really paranoid about having a precise archival backup
of your cd, in a single file.  But, if you're doing that anyway for
archival reasons, you may as well let slimserver use it as well.  
If you're not worried about things like index marks or pregaps, then
it's probably easier to just rip to separate files, as more things
know how to use that.

If you decide to go that route and want more details on external
cuesheets vs. embedded cuesheets, or tagging styles for multi song
flacs, just ask.

Maybe.
replay gain will be most useful for making all your files seem to have
about the same volume relative to each other.  This is particularly
handy if you ever use the "shuffle" feature.  Because the recent trend
in producing pop cds is "louder is better", activating replay gain on
a recent purchase will more likely reduce the audio level.  For older
cds or audiophile labels, it may be a different story.
