Yep. I have it set to *Not* include Composer, Band, Orchestra in Artists. The Artists list behaves as intended on the server-side UI (330 artist) but in the Player UI, I get 688 artist. I brought this up again up cuz it was supposed to be fixed recently. Also, I'm using a Win XP box which may offer a theory why you have differences in your experience (I'll guess you're not using an XP system).
Matt - it doesn't matter what type of system you're using.
You're still seeing this behavior with the latest nightly build?
Could you please send me your slimserversql.db file, and a few examples of artist names that shouldn't be appearing in that list?
