Sadly, Indie 103 may not make it past March 31: http://www.laweekly.com/ink/05/15/music-sullivan.php (The LA Times ran an article about it, but it's disappeared from their site. Search for "FCC Rules May Force Indie 103.1 FM to Change Its Tune" to see other sites quoting the article in part.) Clear Channel has to give up their advertising & programming role in the station because they already own too many stations in LA. The owners are a Spanish radio group and brought CC on board to do the programming, which they probably couldn't do themselves. I can't get their signal well out here in Pasadena, and I won't be getting my SB2 before that deadline. Sigh. And I just learned that WHFS out in Washington DC changed from alt-rock to Spanish a few months ago. I lived in the DC area for five years in the 90s. Sigh. Back on topic, I installed the 3/15 nightly on my FreeBSD box by unzipping it into my home directory and running slimserver.pl. It scanned my FLAC music directory and accurately reported the contents, and Softsqueeze worked too. Now I just have to wait for my SB2 to arrive... -David _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
