unfortunately the windows gui is very crabby.  wen changing skins, frames and
contents may change, causing the GUI to complain until there is a full refresh.
Short of disabling all javascript, I see no solution to this except to leave
the built in GUI in favour of a more recent Browser. the gui uses an activeX
module based on IE5.
