Play a full-amplitude sine wave and look at peak-to-peak voltage on a scope.


You can also use a standard volt meter (set to measure AC voltage) which will tell you RMS voltage.

To convert from RMS to peak-to-peak voltage for a sine wave, multiply by 2 * √2

No - would require cutting traces, adding an internal 9V power supply, op-amp chip, and a handful of resistors and caps.
