A few posts recently have been about the location of the Cache files. I've been a little surprised by these file locations as well.
I would expect any Cache type directory to be found somewhere on the /var path. For a system wide installation, then /var/SlimServer or /var/cache/SlimServer or something. For multi-user environments, maybe a better default would be /var/USERNAME/SlimServer/ since multiple users could have slimserver running and you wouldn't want their cache files conflicting. Either way, it would make more sense to me than the default method of recreating the SlimServer install path in the users home directory. I always viewed /home as user specific configuration and data files. /usr/share for static program files, and /var for this type of thing. Should this go to Bugzilla? A feature request?
