Thanks for the find. This will be fixed shortly in the nightlies.
Dan just checked in a statically compiled version of sox with ogg support (the version I had originally included depended on libogg and libvorbis shared libraries). The new version will be available in tomorrow's nightlies or can be immediately downloaded from https://svn.slimdevices.com/*checkout*/trunk/server/Bin/darwin/sox?rev=2821. Please check it out when you get a chance (though it sounds like you've already installed the necessary shared libraries for the original version).
