Well I am using the new Slim Server 6 with my beloved SLIMP3 and have
to say that the gaps between songs has been improved quite a bit.
Using LAME encoded "Abbey Road" as my reference I would have to be
listening quite closely to detect any gaps. Even when listening
critically I sometimes could not detect the gaps. I know this is not
true gapless but it is getting darn close. I am not sure if this has
anything to do with Slim Server 6 but I'd like to think so. Vidur, the
true mp3 gapless playback you hint at, would that only be available to
the SB2 or would it trickle down to the SB1 & SLIMP3? I also want to
take this time to thank the whole slim devices team for continuing to
make my great SLIMP3 even better!
