It seems like the lines:
mp3 aif squeezebox *
[lame] --decode -t --silent $-x$ $FILE$ -
mp3 flc squeezebox2 *
[lame] --decode -t --silent $-x$ $FILE$ - | [flac] -cs
--totally-silent --compression-level-0 -
might accomplish what you're suggesting. I haven't actually tried these
lines, so please post back results and any necessary tweaks.
