It feels though that it could be the check for the tracks validity could be the problem, but I'm only guessing.

No common thread on the systems then.
I tried running with both use itunes enabled and disabled pointing the server to the itunes music folder.
Are either of you running Windows XP SP2?
The logic for track validity has changed in 6.0 - as well as the entire
subsystem that handles file paths to deal with Unicode. Still a few kinks to work out.
