When first installed, musicmagic can take, literally, a week or more to fully analyse your music. During this time, the server will detect the library as having changed and re-run the musicmagic import (to get the latest of the active music details). The default scan interval is 60 seconds (which works well after analysis si complete), but you may want to set that to a much higher value if immediate reaction to changes is not what you want.
