1. There was light coming from the very edge of the display on the sides, the top and bottom were fine. This light was visible whatever was being displayed on the Squeezebox 2 but was more pronounced when the display was dim.
I know what you're talking about, but I don't know exactly what causes it yet - it's not a defect in your display though. It is probably a bug in how we're driving data to the display as it wraps around the end (the display scans from left to right). Still looking into it.
2. There were a few pixels (about 3 or 4) towards the left side of the diplay that were flickering.
This one is well understood. What's happening here is that we are pumping data to the display at 100fps, and then there's a software refresh cycle happening at 30fps. When those two refresh operations align, there is the possibility of an incorrectly lit pixel. The fix here involves adding a "beam chasing" algorithm to keep them from stepping on each other.
