I am struggling to get the AlienBBC plugin to work and I feel that I am now very close. I am using Slimserver v6.01 with AlienBBC 0.97 and I have followed the installation instructions to the letter. Mplayer appears to work OK because if I enter "mplayer -really-quiet -vo null -cache 32 rtsp://rmlivev8.bbc.net.uk/farm/*/ev7/live24/radio4/live/r4_dsat_g2.ra"; I can hear the stream perfectly without any buffering delay. Also I can see AlienBBC installed as a plugin and I can navigate to the BBC streams from within Slimserver and also Softsqueeze (2.0b3).
However, when trying to listen to a stream I get the following message flashed up for a split second: "RSTP Convert Error - check file type". I have searched around and but I have not been able to find a solution. Does anyone know how to cure this?
