This sort of thing scares me a lot. I reckon I'll have spent 36 hours ripping all my music when I'm done, and there will be around 100GB of data. How do you go about backing this sort of thing up? The only really feasible thing I can think of is to buy a second hard disk and use RAID 1 (mirrored pair of disks). After that, I just have to hope that something doesn't happen that takes out the whole computer.
