Thanks for your answer.

I have a private network via a Dlink router 624.
I don´t know what a proxy is but I think using the router instead of a proxy
for a private network
I am connected to Broadband and I run Windows 2000 on 2.6 ghz computer with
512 mb ram.

When I start Shoutcast the player shows after a short while that it lost
connection. Then after a while I starts playing the station (for ex radioio) I had before going to Shoutcast.

Which tells us that the server has not crashed. This is good news :-)

I have marked in Slimserver on the computer, ServerSettings - Debugging the
alternatives d_plugins, d_source and d_source-V and then pressed "change".

When player crashes the log file shows "no page...."

Where exactly do you find that log file? Please send the last lines of at http://yourserver:9000/log.txt

I've searched all the slimserver code and there's no mention of a message "no page"...

Michael

Hope this will clarify.

Kind Regards
Tore

As you can see I have not got any answers for this problem

You have got answers, but not _the_ answer that would have fixed your problem.

- I ask again about the proxy (and I'm not talking about your router). Is
this a private network?

- does the server crash or just lock up for a while?

- what do you get in the logs when run using the -d_plugin parameter?

Now again Slimserver 6.01 crashes when I will enter Shoutcast. I have
marked
several plugins but after the crash the page will say "The page can´t be
shown".

How do you enter the plugin? On the player or the web interface? I've been
working a lot on the ShoutcastBrowser plugin, but this is for 6.1, not
6.0.1. In 6.0.x there's no web interface for it at all - so no "page can't
be shown" error message possible :-/

Could you please describe in some more details (where do you what exactly)
what you do? I simply don't understand if you're talking about the
settings page, the player's interface or even the plugin's web page (which
should not exist in your version...).

Michael

I have Windows 2000 on a 2.6Ghz computer with a lot a memory and harddisk, broadband and a router. Please advise how to get Shoutcast to function. Kind Regards Tore Johnsson

But there is the same conditions as when I had 5.4.1 release which worked
ok.

I even increased to 69 sec but still get lost connection.

What kind of internet connection do you use? Are you behind a proxy server?

It´s odd. I changed the timeout to 15 and it worked that day.
Today I started Shoutcast again and it lost connection.
Please advise what to do

Thanks a lot. It worked
But it is odd. In 5.4.1 there were no problems with the default setting
for
timeout.

I have installed 6.0 on Win2000.

Please try increasing the "Internet Radio Timeout" option in the network
settings to eg. 15. If this works it's your connection to shoutcast
that's
timing out.

I don´t know which debug I should mark for logfile.
