I just got my SB2 today, and it's quite happy talking to my Meridian 861 (coax S/PDIF). And it sounds great too. So at least it doesn't seem to be a wide spread problem. I'm also not in the affected mac address range, so perhaps that does explain what demoleon is experiencing.
